14 Days of Prep Prayers for Servant Leadership Retreat 2017
We are 14 days away from our servant leadership retreat. So we can now start our praying Biblical prayers with our 14 Days of Prep Prayer.
Special thanks to Jacob Ponce, Gary Seay & Katie Gibson for helping me put these together.
Today’s prayer focus will be on all those that are going to be at the retreat. If we could see in the future, it will be more than just those that are registered so far. There may be some that are just needing a personal invitation and encouragement from you to get them to go. So please begin praying for who you need to reach out to and challenge them to be with us. (Below are links to the 4 promo videos, flyers and event page to share with others.)
Feel free to forward these prayer emails (or have me add) any of your prayer warriors that may not be able to join us for the retreat but would like to pray along with us.
Group leaders – Please send me emails of anyone that is also coming from your group or church so I can add them to this prayer email list or just forward them on yourself each day.
Fasting – if you feel led, some will be fasting a meal or one day the week before in preparation. This is obviously not just skipping a meal(s) but that extra time spent seeking God. Please study Isaiah 58 for fasting that pleases God. Another option esp. for those who have struggled with eating disorders is to fast from something else for at least 30 min. that day, like the tv or internet and use that time pursing God.
Let’s do all we can to expect and prepare for what all God has for us.

Day #1 (of 14) – Preparing to Receive
Let’s commit to receive all that God has for us with open arms and open hearts.
“For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.”
1 Thessalonians 2:13
“So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Acts 20:32
Let’s agree and pray this together…
God, We ask You to prepare all of us to receive everything You have in store for us at the retreat. We want Your Word of grace and truth to really effectively work in us and build us up to be leaders You’ve called us to be. Please begin to soften our hearts and stir up our expectations in faith for a life-changing weekend. Put on our hearts others we need to pursue to make sure they are with us and a part of what You’ll be doing. We pray this in Jesus name.

Day #2 (of 14) – God’s Will be Done
We’re wanting to pray that God’s will would really be done at the retreat. – Katie
God, we recognize that You are in control of everything and You are not subject to our plans or schedule, but we submit to Yours. You are welcome in each and every moment. Have Your way in all of our lives so we can experience You like never before. We pray, not our will but Yours be done. Help us to wait patiently on You, to yield ourselves to Your Spirit, listen closely to what You say, and as You lead, we will follow.
“Pray like this: Our Father in Heaven, may Your name be kept holy. May Your Kingdom come soon. May Your will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6: 9-10 NLT
“As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.” Micah 7:7 NLT

Day #3 (of 14) – Surrendered Heart
Prep Prayers for Servant Leadership Retreat
Psalm 32:8-9 (NKJV)
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near You.
Psalm 145:18 (NKJV)
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
Let’s pray…
Heavenly Father,
Help us to not be like the horse or mule that lack understanding that must be bridled but help us to be wise and come near to You and follow where ever You’re leading us. May our hearts have a deeper level of surrender, to truly surrender everything over to You. We pray that every person comes to the retreat to really seek after You and has an incredible expectancy for all that You have for us. We pray all this in Jesus name.

Day #4 of 14: Pray for the Unity of the Spirit
Pray this with us… Lord, You have called Your people to dwell together as one just as You and Jesus are one. One body, one focus, one Spirit. Pleas tear down any indifferences that would stand in the way of the unity that You long for among Your children. Your Word says that where there is unity, You command a blessing. What greater blessing than for Your children to come together as the global family of God and seek Your face!
God, let this Encounter retreat be that place where we’re truly in unity! Bring revival to Your Church as we come together as one in worship and adoration to You. Build lasting relationships among all who attend that would extend beyond time and into eternity. Show us how to serve and love one another to bring forth the advancement of Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name we pray.
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!…and there the Lord has pronounced His blessing, even life everlasting.” Psalms 133: 1, 3b NLT

Day #5 – Freedom
Ephesians 3:11-12 “according to His eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”
Heavenly Father,
Thank You, that we can approach You with freedom and confidence. We come to You with our hopes and dreams. We ask that You give us a heart of freedom with more courage to speak Your Word with a new passion. Give us now and at the retreat a freedom to fall more in love with You and a new revelation of who we are in You.
Please help us to step out in boldness knowing that we can be and do everything Your Word says about us. Thank You for giving us new levels of freedom. In Jesus name we pray.

Day #6 – Being Set Apart
”But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” 1 Peter 2:9
“You have been set apart as holy to the LORD your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.” Deuteronomy 14:2
Heavenly Father, we ask You to help us be truly set apart. Set us apart for Your glory and Your Kingdom. We need Your help to think differently, act differently, and live our life’s differently. You have called us to be set apart and to be holy. Please show us how the enemy is trying to distract us in different ways and how we’re being tempted to walk in sin. Father, please convict us of any sin we need to repent of. So we can be forgiven and start fresh. Help us to make sure and set apart more time to be with You so we can be really set apart.
Reveal to us all the things You’re calling us to do for Your kingdom.
In Jesus name we pray.

Day #7 of 14:
Spiritual Gifts
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.” Romans 12:6-8
God, We’re asking that You would help us all to discover & move in the spiritual gifts You have given each of us. Please help us to use them for Your glory and to help those around us while we are at the retreat & everywhere we go. We pray for those on the prophetic ministry team… Jeff & MK Chapman, Paul & Yuri Huntington and also if You have prophetic words for Dr. Robb Brewer and Shannon Pickard to share to encourage and challenge Your sons & daughters.
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your guidance and protection over each person as they prepare for this retreat along with their finances, health & travel. And those who have yet decided if they’re able to make it out. We pray that those seeking You in their lives would come to know You in a more real way. God, we ask for Your provision and strength and that Your love would be poured out on each of us.

Day #8 of 14:
Salvation, Deliverance, and Healing
Heavenly Father, we pray for every person that will be at the Encounter retreat that they would all know You as Lord and Savior, even those who may have felt that are Christians but really are not… yet. Believing that they will encounter You in such a way that their eyes will be opened to see You for who You are – King of Kings and Lord of Lords; touch their hearts and minds so they are changed forever.
We ask that You would do a work in every single one of us. That we would have complete freedom and deliverance from every stronghold, sin, imagination and high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of You. Like Your Word says, we choose to take every thought captive into the obedience of Christ. We thank You in advance for complete healing in our minds, and our entire body, soul, and spirit so that we’ll bring You more glory! In response to the work You’re going to do in our lives, we will than be freed up to pursue all You’ve called us to be and to do. As we have freely received, may we freely give and go and share You with those who do not yet know You. We pray all this in Jesus’ name.

Day #9: Times of Worship
We should pray this in unity…
God, we’re praying for a powerful time of worship and sweet time in Your presence as we pursue You at this retreat! We pray for Heidi Williams and the Encounter Worship Band as they prepare and have worship practices. May Your Holy Spirit lead and flow through them in every song. May their voices, sound equipment, instruments, mics, and everything needed operate as planned. May they be willing vessels to be used by You. May they be the lead worshippers as they are reflect the light and wonder of the worship in Heaven. As we come together as one body, we pray that everyone will be in one accord, worshiping You in spirit and in truth. Heavenly Father, consume us with Your love and joy, for Your joy is our strength! We pray that we’ll all enter into Your Presence and any sorrow and depression will disappear and we’ll be filled with joy and gladness, in Jesus’ name we pray.
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” John 4:23 NKJV
“Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear and they will be filled with joy and gladness.” Isaiah 51:11 NLT

Day #10 (of 14) – Pray for the Word of God & messages
Let us pray that God’s Word, practical truth and encouragement will be shared effectively during each message given by Dr. Robb Brewer, Jason Williams and Shannon Pickard. Along with the ministry of spoken word poetry of GF Soldier.
God, we thank You for every person that will be sharing at our servant leadership retreat and for the word that You’ve placed in their hearts. Thank You for their obedience in sharing that word to all of us that will be there and we pray that it will be planted in ours hearts so it will bear fruit. We pray that every person would have ears to hear and that hearts would be open and receptive. May Your Word not just be spoken but that it would be compelling and produce action, just as You sent Your disciples out. May freedom flow through these words, to break chains and set captives free and bring healing. We want Your Holy Spirit to truly flow freely. May everyone choose to live in Christ Jesus and walk in that liberty; free from guilt, condemnation, and the bondage of sin. We pray all this in the name of Jesus.
