Retreat’s 14 Days of Prep Prayer

14 Days of Prep Prayer

Servant Leadership Retreat 2015

We want to call you into 14 days of prayer as we prepare for what God is going to do at our Servant Leadership Retreat. Start the New Year off by praying God’s Word every day. There’s an ideal New Year’s “Revolution” for ya. 🙂 So today is January 1st, 2015 and we will be emailing our daily prayer areas that Kristi Smith has put together.
Group leaders – Please send me emails of anyone that is also coming from your church so I can add them to this prayer email list or just forward them on yourself each day. Feel free to add any of your prayer warriors that may not be able to join us for the retreat but would like to pray along with us.

Fasting – if you feel led, some will be fasting a meal or one day the week before in preparation. This is obviously not just skipping a meal(s) but that extra time spent seeking God. Please study Isaiah 58 for fasting that pleases God. Another option esp. for those who have struggled with eating disorders is to fast from something else for at least 30 min. that day, like the tv or computer and use that time pursing God.

Let’s do all we can to expect and prepare for what all God has for us.

Day 1: Give Thanks
As we prepare for our 3rd Annual Servant Leadership Retreat let us give thanks to God for the opportunity to fellowship with one another again. How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! God thank You for the opportunity to come together, lifting each other up in prayer, encouraging and equipping one another for building up Your Church, the body of Christ.

More importantly, thank You for the opportunity to come together and worship You for Who You are, all You’ve done, and all You plan to do in our lives. We are Your servants and we want to continue to grow more in your image, in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 133: 1 NKJV Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Ephesians 4:12 NLT Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do
His work and build up the Church, the body of Christ.

Day 2 of 14 Days of Prep Prayer
Prepare our Hearts

God, prepare our hearts as we prepare for the Servant Leadership Retreat. Lord, we all fall short of Your glorious standards daily and know that it’s only by Your grace and mercy, through Jesus dying on the cross for us, that we are able to come to You for forgiveness. and You are faithful to forgive and cleanse us. Father, You know our hearts and our thoughts afar off. You’ve given us much responsibility and with that much is required of us. God, create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us in Jesus name.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Romans 3:23 NLT

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness. 1 John1:9 NKJV

You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.
1 John1:9 NKJV

When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
Luke 12:48 NLT

Day 3 – Pray for the Church

Jesus we pray for Your Church, the Church You gave Your life for. Thank You for the victory that is ours and belongs to us no matter the persecution we face.  The gates of hell will not prevail. Help us to serve one another in love, forgive one another, and edify one another for the building up of the saints.
Help us to be doers of Your Word and not just hearers only, so we may show the younger generation how to live Godly lives. Help us stand firm in our faith, not wavering, but firm on Your Word, enduring patiently and obeying all Your commands. God, thank You for making Your Church glorious, without spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. We will be holy and without fault in Jesus name, AMEN.

Revelation 14:12 NLT This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying His commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.

James 1:22 NKJV But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Ephesians 5:25-27 NLT…He (Christ) gave up His life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s Word. He did this to present her to Himself as a glorious Church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.

Day 4 – Time of Worship

Let us pray for a sweet time of worship with our Heavenly Father. Lord, Bless Heidi Williams and the worship band as they prepare, may the Holy Spirit lead and operate freely through them during every song.
We pray for their voices, sound equipment, instruments, microphones, and everything needed to operate as planned. And as we come together as one body, we pray that everyone will be in one accord, worshiping God in Spirit and in truth. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty and in Your presence is fullness of joy. We pray everyone will experience that true freedom and overwhelming joy that only comes from You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  John 4: 23 NKJV

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2 Corinthians 3:17 NKJV

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.  Psalms 16:11 NKJV

Day 5 – God’s Will be Done

God we pray Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Only You can tell us the future before it even happens, thank You for revealing to us Your plans and perfect will for our lives. We welcome You in each session and in each room during the retreat. Wherever we are, we ask You to have Your way in us so we can experience You like never before.

Father, help us to yield to the Holy Spirit, and as we draw near to You, You will draw near to us. In Jesus’ name, Amen

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6: 9-10 NKJV

Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish. Isaiah 46:10 NLT

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…  James 4:8a NKJV

Day 6 – Heart of Expectancy

God we pray You will give us a heart of expectancy for what You want to do in and through us this year for Your Kingdom! God help us to not be complacent with where we are or where we’ve been, because You are the God of making all things new. You make the crooked places straight and You’re able to do exceeding, abundantly, above all we could ever ask or think. This is a new year and we expect greater things! We want to experience more lives transformed, more miracles manifested, but most of all more of You. God, we want all You have for us, for Your glory, in Jesus’ name Amen.

And the One sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then He said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” Revelations 21:5 NLT

For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness.  I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 NLT

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

Day 7 – Pray for Salvation, Deliverance and Healing

God we know You are our Healer, Deliverer, and You are the only one who can save us. We pray those we will minister to on our jobs, out in the streets, in our churches and those who will attend Encounter God’s Presence Summer Camp or Youth Rallies will be transformed in such an evident way, that You will be glorified in Jesus Christ. We pray that many will be healed, saved and delivered in Jesus’ name. God, You said in Your word that anyone who believes in You will do the same works You did, and even greater works. Lord, we believe You for the greater works in the name of Jesus, Amen.

John 14:12 NLT “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in My name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the father. Yes, ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it!”

Luke 4:18 NKJV “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

Day 8 – Heart of Humility

God, You exalt the humble at heart in due time and bring the haughty down. Lord, help us to not think more of ourselves than we ought to. Keep us humble at Your feet God, knowing we can do nothing apart from You. Everything we do should be done as unto the Lord. Keep our minds and our hearts focused on You in everything we desire and plan. God, help us to not trust in our own understanding, but acknowledge You in EVERYTHING. We submit every area of our lives to Your will God. Our family, friends, health, jobs, and finances and pray You will order our steps in the paths we should take. In Jesus’ name.

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will lift you up in honor. 1 Peter 5:6 NLT

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of Your love. Ephesians 4:2 NLT

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

Day 9 – Ignite Us

Lord, we pray that You will ignite us! Set our hearts on fire with Your love so we may be able to love everyone as You have loved us. Fill us again with Your Holy Spirit, give us boldness like never before, perfect our love so all fear is gone and we can declare Your Word to those who are lost and in darkness. God, help us to set our affections on things above and not on things of this world. This earth is temporary; it is not our eternal home. Give us a passion, a stirring in our spirit to reach out and intercede for those who desperately need Jesus in their lives. We want everyone we meet to know You, Your Truth, and unfailing love. In Jesus’ name.

So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. John 13:34 NLT

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2 KJV

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.  1 John 4:18 NKJV

Day 10 – The Messages & Prophetic Word

Lord, we pray over the messages and prophetic words that will be spoken during the retreat this weekend. Lord, thank You for the messages You’ve placed on the hearts of the speakers and thank You for the prophetic words that will given. May we all be encouraged.

I pray we will have ears to hear and hearts to receive Your Word and apply it to our lives so we will be doers of Your Word and not hearers only. God, may Your Word fall on the good ground of our hearts so we may bear the fruit of it in due season. We thank You that Your Word will not return to You void but will accomplish everything for which You sent it. In Jesus’ name.

Give ear and hear my voice, Listen and hear my speech. Isaiah 28:23 NKJV

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22 NKJV

But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Matthew 13:23 NKJV

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 NKJV

Day 11 – Prayer for Laborers

God says in His Word, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few”. Lord, we pray for an increase of laborers to be sent out into Your harvest, while it is day. Help us to be mindful of the time we are in and that in a short time, Jesus will return. May we continue to be steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labor is not in vain. We are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Lord, help us to live as people of light, producing only what is good, right and true In Jesus’ Name.

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. “Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38 NKJV

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58 NKJV

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV

Day 12 – Our Brothers and Sisters Persecuted For Their Faith

Let us pray for our spiritual brothers and sisters facing persecution for their faith. Some are in prison, hiding, families taken, or killed because of their faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Lord, we know You are with those who are persecuted. We pray Your Spirit will continue to rest upon them as they endure persecution and that they would be delivered. Your grace is sufficient for everything they need. May their lives and the sacrifices they make be a testimony to those who do not know You as Lord and Savior and many come to know You because of it. Help us to pray for those who persecute Your Church, to bless them and not curse them. Lord, we pray You will remove “the scales” from their eyes so they may come to know Your saving grace. In Jesus’ Name.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Romans 12:14 NKJV

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44 NKJV

… and all who desire to live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12 NKJV

Day 13 – Prayer for Encounter God’s Presence Camp

Lord, we come together today to pray over Encounter God’s Presence Summer Camp 2015. God, thank You for all You’ve done through E.G.P. camp, the Youth Rallies and the opportunity we have to serve in different ways this year. Lives are impacted in such a great way each year and it remains to be seen what You want to do this year! Lord, thank You for the vision You’ve given Pastor Jason and Heidi for the E.G.P. youth camp and all the leaders who take part each year. You are teaching a generation what it means to encounter Your presence daily and because of it lives are forever changed.

19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,  20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:19-21 (NKJV)

Day 14 – Prayer for Travel & Safety

Please take time to pray for everyone’s travel and safety on the way, during, and return from our Servant Leadership Retreat. Heavenly Father, we pray for Your arm of protection over everyone as we travel the roads to and from the retreat. Lord, keep us safe from any harm and watch over us all as we sleep and may we all be truly refreshed. Please give us wisdom and may everyone have an AMAZING weekend! In Jesus’ Name.

Proverbs 3: 21-24 NKJV… Keep sound wisdom and discretion; so they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck. Then you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
