Encounter God’s Presence networks with churches & ministries where we come together to have nights of worship, servant leadership conferences, spring break retreats, camps, outreaches and mission trips. Some events are geared towards adults, some for teenagers and others are for everyone. EGP is a “Spirit & Word” Christian ministry, in other words we believe in all of the Biblical spiritual gifts that The Holy Spirit gives us while not neglecting God’s Word, but recognize the Bible is infallible and extremely vital for doctrine and every aspect of our lives.

In the summer, we have youth groups join us for a summer camp for teenagers and we have at Southwestern Assembly of God University. And a kid’s camp for the children in East Texas. Encounter camps are grounded in the Word of God and we have a unique focus on the persecuted Church with a Spiritual Amazing Race. Each year, one of the guest speakers at youth camp has been in prison and/or persecuted for their faith in a foreign country. We write handwritten letters to imprisoned Christians in different countries. There are many other key elements that make these Spirit-filled camps a life changing week for all who attend. Each night we have set prayer areas some are for the peace of Jerusalem, the persecuted Church, church and nation leaders, believers to move in their gifts & the fruit of The Spirit, the ending of abortion, abuse, human sex-trafficking and for more of a desperation for God & His presence.

There’s a team of servant leaders who volunteer to travel with E.G.P. to different cities when we come out to lead an EGP Weekend. We may lead worship, share the message, have prophetic ministry for the main church services, or for a night of worship for all ages or even a youth rally that’s geared towards the young people.

Encounter has taken groups on mission trips to Houston, Belize, Jamaica, Virgin Islands, Yucatán Mexico and other places so they can experience God in a unique way, be used by Him for His glory & get to serve & minister the love of Jesus to others.

Encounter God’s Presence and you will never be the same!

Young people can sit through countless sermons, mouth the words to the songs, and learn to speak “Christianese,” but, until our Heavenly Father draws them (John 6:44), it can all become just vain tradition (Matthew 15:7-9) and “playing church” (Mark 7:13).

But churches & ministries from all over can come together in unity and see God command His blessing (Ps. 133:1-3) and provide an atmosphere for lives to be radically changed.

Allowing the love of Jesus to captivate their heart & God’s Word to renew them from the inside out (Rm. 12:2). Like Song of Solomon 4:9 talks about how, You have ravished my heart with one look of your eyes.

When they really encounter God they become disciples who crave the Bible (1 Peter 2:2), and begin to choose to be about The Father’s business (Luke 2:49) and seek His will in every area of their lives (Prov. 3:5-6).

Becoming part of these Spirit-filled events could be the very thing your heart has been longing for.

And at our camps, we really believe it’s important to have a healthy balance between fun recreational activities, and then the deeper times of getting into God’s Word and pursuing His presence. Too many times camps can seem to go from one extreme to the other and end up neglecting where some youth are at spiritually, whether it be the “on fire for God” youth or the “pre-Christian” who has yet to encounter God’s love. So we desire to create camps that will effect each teenager regardless of where they may be at spiritually.

Encounter God’s Presence is a Christian Bible-believing ministry that networks with churches, ministries and individuals to provide Spirit-filled events and mission trips. We desire to always create an atmosphere for people to truly encounter God’s Presence. Knowing that once someone encounters God’s presence and experiences the real love & truth of God their whole life changes, how they view the world, others and themselves dramatically changes. Our heart is to help young and old be grounded in the Bible, discover and develop the spiritual gifts God has given them and allow them opportunities to walk in those gifts while demonstrating the fruit of The Spirit. We want to help equip and then release others so we can all be about our Father’s business.

Encounter God’s Presence has nights of worship, Encounter rallies, servant leadership conferences, youth camps and mission trips. Some events and training times are geared specifically for adults, some for teenagers and others are for both.

We have taken numerous groups on mission trips to Belize, Houston, Jamaica, Mexico, St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands. Groups can join trips and we can plan a special one to Alaska or other locations.

The enemy of your soul is Satan and he wants you to feel that you are not worthy or capable of knowing or hearing God. But when we can repent and turn away from our sins, turn to God and put our faith in Jesus, we can be truly saved. God has created you for relationship with Him. He loves you so much and wants you to seek Him. He wants you to learn to hear His voice. Let’s not be consumed with sin or all our selfish issues but let’s be fulfilling the destiny God has placed us on this earth for.

“Walk in The Spirit & you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16 

“Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33

“Draw near to God & He will draw near to you…” James 4:8a

So this is not “rocket surgery” or “brain science”.  🙂

We encourage you really spend time seeking God, wait on Him, get into The Bible, play some worship music and encounter God’s Presence. Allow your Heavenly Father to love on you, speak life over you & transform you from the inside out!

We believe all true Christian denominations & Christian non-denominations can worship together based on the universality of the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ. There is a great quote many attribute to Augustine that says, “in essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity.” One of our main non-negotiables is how Jesus clearly proclaimed in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to The Father except through Me.”

Again it is our hope and prayer that everyone repents of their sins, receives God’s forgiveness, puts their faith in Jesus and is truly saved. Having a relationship with your Heavenly Father is what life is all about.
